The small village is also known to the locals simply as Eden. It is situated between Knysna and George. The beautiful beaches and the Indian Ocean make this wonderful place to a well known destination for tourists from all over the world.
The small village at the N2 is nestled into a fascinating landscape with lakes, dunes, lagoons and the Quteniqua Mountains. It is a central tourist destination which is situated directly at the world-famous Garden Route. From here you can easily reach the cities of Knysna, Port Elizabeth, George and Sedgefield. The Touws River flows through Wilderness and together with other small waters it forms as already mentioned, the Lagoon.
